Dr. Allen A. Zarrinfar
Dr. Zarrinfar earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 1993, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1997. After graduating from dental school he immediately went on to complete a one year Advanced General Practice Residency at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland, where he gained valuable clinical skill in Oral Surgery, General Medicine and Pediatric Dentistry. Following the completion of his residency program in 1998, he was invited to join Mercy Medical Center as an attending dentist where he practiced until 2005.
After moving to Northern Virginia in 2005, Dr. Zarrinfar established his private practice in Purcellville,Virginia, and in 2014 in Ranson West Virginia where he is currently practicing at both locations.
He believes continuing education is the key to providing the best quality dental care. Since his graduation he has attended over 1100 hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry, and has been awarded fellowship status in the International College of Oral Implantology. He is currently working towards achieving fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Zarrinfar has also held a part-time faculty position as a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland at Baltimore from 1999-2003, in the departments of restorative dentistry and oral medicine.
With a commitment to community services, he volunteered to travel to Indian Reservations in Arizona to help make dentures for many Native -Americans. He also volunteers at Loudoun Community Dental Clinic to provide free dental services to low income and underprivileged families.
Dr. Zarrinfar has been very active in several dental organizations. He has served as the President of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry in 2009, and is currently serving as the chairperson on the Council of Legislation. He also served as a delegate for the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zarrinfar is also an active member of the following organizations: ADA, AGD, ICOI, and AADC.
He is married to Dr. Kianoush Tari and they are blessed with two healthy and active boys Milad and Emonn.
